Zero One Hundred Conferences invites you to their event

ESG in VC funds. CFOs best practices, standards and challenges. (Powered by VESTBERRY)

About this event

The event is designed for both ESG experts & finance leaders from the venture capital industry. The ultimate goal of this free virtual webinar, which we organize in cooperation with VESTBERRY, is to discuss the ESG investing & reporting topics deeply from different perspectives.

On the one hand, we will analyze what is the added value of ESG for VC funds and how does ESG support long-term success in venture capital. We will dispute if the ESG risk is priced and what are the main trends and challenges in communication and ESG data collection practices from the portfolio companies.

On the other hand, with a tremendous rise of ESG investing in the venture capital industry, reporting metrics are changing every day. The expectations are mainly shaped by ESG risks and they depend on CFOs’ previous experience with portfolios companies and investors.

Therefore, we will also analyze if CFOs in VC are well prepared for ESG reporting and how they should lead ESG efforts. We will go deeply into the best practices of ESG reporting and main standards in implementing ESG analytics in VC firms. Do investors prioritize ESG analytics in the reports and communication received from the managers and how to bring the benefits of ESG reporting into the funds? Join us at our interactive business webinar to have these and many more practical questions answered!

Mathew Joseph Sustainability Director @ Kinnevik

I was fortunate to join the team at Kinnevik and set up the Sustainability function. I have done this since the fall of 2014 and have been through an amazing journey with a lot of learnings and positive experiences. ESG continues to fascinate me and I believe that the companies that are truly able to operationalise ESG will have the highest likelihood of becoming long term sustainable and profitable businesses. We are living in a time where there is a lot of buzz around ESG and it is extremely important for companies like Kinnevik to make sure we have the right approach externally with our founders and companies as well as internally with our team. In terms of hobbies, I have a wonderful family and tend to spend any of the free time I have with them. I love the outdoors and sports – anything that involves a racquet. I also enjoy reading and international music.
