CanvasFest I Careers Clinic

About this event

Actionable insights & career guidance from expert product leaders

Join us from 10:00 on Tuesday 20 October as we invite digital and product experts for a morning of panel discussions as they delve into how you can progress your career in product and digital.

If you’re just starting out in digital product, or you’re looking for the next step in your career, we’ll have expert product leaders on hand to give you some pointers with an online panel and live Q&A.

CanvasFest is a two week, online digital festival that’ll be taking place from Thursday 8 to Wednesday 21 October 2020 and part of that activity is the careers clinic!

This event will be especially relevant for people who:

  • Are working in digital and product and looking for a new and exciting opportunity
  • New to the industry and want some guidance on how to get started with confidence
  • Looking to network with product people to find the latest and greatest talent

--

Agenda

The online panel and live Q&A will last 90 minutes with the panellists going through a set of questions aimed to give you all the information and resources you need to advance your career in digital product.

Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect to see:

  • Increasing diversity for under-represented segments within the industry. The idea of ‘diversity’ is to highlight that there are multiple avenues for people to advance/begin their careers in digital product
  • How to get into the digital product industry and the different paths you can take
  • The qualifications/courses that you need/will help you out on your journey
  • Recommended books to read and the jargon to look out for
  • Interview code (you don’t have to wear a suit to all interviews!)
  • The skillset you have and what roles you’d be suited for
