  Jaap van Milgen Senior scientist @ INRAe (French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment)

  He carried out an extensive research program on energy and protein nutrition and metabolism in growing animals, using both experimental and modeling methods. He also co-authored InraPorc, which integrates current knowledge of nutrition of growing pigs and sows in a model and software tool, making it available to professionals in the animal nutrition sector. In 2021, he was awarded the prestigious Leroy Fellowship award of the EAAP (the European Federation of Animal Science) for his outstanding scientific contribution to animal production over a sustained period. Jaap van Milgen holds a MSc-degree from Wageningen University, a PhD-degree from the University of Illinois, and an HDR-degree from the University of Rennes.
