AG Grid invites you to their event

What's new in AG Grid 36 and AG Charts 14

About this event

Join the AG Grid team for a practical walkthrough of the latest major releases of AG Grid and AG Charts.

We’ll demonstrate the new features in AG Grid 36 and AG Charts 14, explain the problems they solve, and show how you can use them in real applications.

What we’ll cover

AG Grid 36

See how the latest release gives developers and end users more control over how data is created, analysed and presented.

We’ll cover:

  • Calculated columns: Create new columns using formula expressions without changing the underlying data source.
  • Show values as: Display aggregated values as percentages or differences relative to row, column, group or grand totals.
  • Automatic column generation: Generate column definitions directly from dynamic or previously unknown datasets.
  • Accessibility improvements: Provide clearer screen-reader context when navigating pinned columns.
  • Theming improvements: Benefit from improved performance, responsive overflow handling and additional customisation options.

AG Charts 14

Learn how AG Charts 14 makes it easier to work with remote data, complex data types and application-wide design systems.

We’ll demonstrate:

  • Asynchronous data loading: Load data on demand from remote or paginated APIs as users zoom and navigate.
  • Images in text elements: Add icons, flags, avatars and other images to labels, captions and annotations.
  • Expanded colour support: Use CSS variables, HSL colours and theme colour mixing for maintainable, responsive chart themes.
  • BigInt support: Visualise high-precision numeric values without silently losing precision.
  • ISO 8601 date support: Pass date and date-time strings directly to charts without first converting them into JavaScript Date objects.

What you’ll learn

By the end of the session, you’ll understand:

  • How the APIs work through live, code-based demonstrations
  • Where the new features can simplify application logic
  • What to consider when upgrading an existing application
  • Where to find the relevant documentation and migration resources
