About this event
Food security, poverty and biodiversity: which agricultural systems for sustainable development in Mozambique ?
Faced with the growing challenges of food insecurity, rural poverty and the erosion of biodiversity, identifying sustainable agricultural models is becoming a priority. How can we reconcile agricultural productivity, the preservation of ecosystems and improved living conditions for local populations ?
As part of the ECOPRONAT research program, the FARSYMABI project is exploring the agricultural systems that can meet these challenges in Mozambique. Based on field studies and socio-economic and ecological analyses, it proposes ways in which these systems can be effectively integrated into public policy.
This Research Conversation invites you to discuss :
✔️ The key results of the FARSYMABI project and their implications for agricultural policies,
✔️ Levers for action to promote biodiversity-friendly agriculture and development,
✔️ Prospects for application to other contexts in sub-Saharan Africa.
