Airmic invites you to their event

fastTrack webinar: Risk culture and the relationship with risk appetite

About this event

Risk culture sets the tone for how an organisation identifies, values, understands, discusses, and monitors the risks that it faces. Key to a strong risk culture is the concept of risk appetite, which refers to the amount and type of risk an organisation is willing to pursue or retain in pursuit of its strategy or key objectives. Risk appetite and the supporting risk metrics are specific to the organisation, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Therefore, defining a risk appetite, identifying the appropriate metrics, and then implementing it across the organisation can be challenging. This session explores the important relationships between culture, appetite and metrics and offers practical examples and advice for their implementation.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the importance of risk culture and risk appetite to managing risk
  2. Define the key phases and steps for implementing risk appetite
  3. Identify appropriate key risk indicators to support risk appetite monitoring
