About this event
The 2020-21 water year will be remembered as the first wet year after the driest 36 months on record for the Murray-Darling Basin. Storages finally began to fill, and early season allocations accrued to general security entitlements. Higher seasonal allocations, combined with high volumes of carryover from 2019-20 and timely in-crop rainfall throughout the year, made 2020-21 a year of falling water allocation prices. Allocation prices tumbled in all trading zones providing welcome relief for many irrigation businesses and setting the scene for a successful 2021-22.
What better time to join us for the launch of Aither’s annual Water Markets Report? During the webinar, we will share analysis and insights from market activity in 2020-21, provide Aither’s outlook for markets in 2021-22, and reflect on the current state of the market.
Aither’s annual Water Markets Reports provide Australia’s leading independent analysis and insights on southern Murray-Darling Basin water markets activity and outcomes, as well as an outlook for the year ahead. Now in its eighth year, Aither provides this free report as part of our goal of improving the transparency of Australian water markets information for all market participants.
