The Great Debate: Entertainment in the Metaverse - LBE vs Home Entertainment

About this event

With the growth of the metaverse, we have seen virtual experiences within the entertainment world flourish. For many, the stay-at-home orders enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic pushed them to spend more time in virtual worlds/interfaces in a bid to stay social. This led to the destigmatisation of a life spent in the virtual world, with human life adapting to an increasingly digital experience across work and play.

For Location-Based-Experiences however, the metaverse poses a significant challenge. Of course, with the incentive of being able to experience a plethora of engaging VR experiences in the home, it becomes questionable as to why people would want to explore them at a standalone venue.

However, the metaverse also brings the significant potential to the expansion and diversification of LBE experiences.

In this insights live webinar, we ask if LBE should be worried about the growth of the metaverse. How can LBE fit into the Metaverse? Is the Metaverse going to stunt LBE's growth? What are the potential positives?

Our panel of industry experts will cover topics such as:

  1. How can LBE fit into the Metaverse?
  2. Is the Metaverse going to stunt or improve LBE's growth?
  3. Marketing approaching LBEs and crossing over into Metaverse
