Bennett Thompson is the co-founder of BlockBeam and the co-founder of Northeastern’s blockchain club. He has spent his career contributing to decentralized communities like dClimate and connecting talent to propel projects forward. He was integral in launching the NEU club and developing strategic programs with the likes of a16z and Coin Metrics. Since the launch of BlockBeam in late-2021, he has connected hundreds of students to educational opportunities and placed many more into paid roles at leading projects and VCs.
Benedetto Biondi is the CEO of Folks Finance, a decentralized lending protocol built on Algorand. Also, currently covering the role of DeFi Advisor at Climatecoin and mentor at the Algorand Miami Accelerator. He has three years of experience at Blockchain Italia as a Blockchain Innovation manager. His studies have included a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Milano and a master’s degree in engineering Innovation and Management at Cardiff University, where he achieved distinction with a specialization in Data Analysis. Benedetto is a lecturer at ELDA (Economics and Law for Digital Asset – University of Florence) and BIM (Blockchain Innovation Manager – Association Italia4Blockchain), where he teaches DeFi lectures.
Alexia Young is a Senior Associate for the executive team at Agrotoken, the first global tokenization infrastructure for agro-commodities. Alexia supports team leaders with their daily responsibilities in different areas such as: partnerships, development of ecosystems, funding, investor strategy and investor relationships. Since graduated from college, Alexia has immersed herself in the entrepreneurial ecosystem by working in a VC Fund and the Endeavor Offices in Buenos Aires.
