French Kaleidoscope: A series of webinars to enrich general knowledge and to discover French arts, by expert guests who are passionate about their subjects. Each session will focus on a specific topic, from gastronomy to photography, including theater and French music.
“Culture Shock: 18th Century in France “ - Talk by Dr Fatima Shahnaz
Dr. Fatima Shahnaz’s first novel, Golconda, was published in New York; Khaki, Poems on Pulwama follows several collections of her poetry include Sarasavati, Shards, Prince of Tears, Kaleidoscope Eyes and others. She obtained her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in French Literature at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She was awarded a citation by the Government of France in 2010 as “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres”. She studied theatre at the prestigious Parisian school of dramatic arts, the Institut Rene Simon d’Arts Dramatiques, and Western cuisine led her to a course at the Cordon Bleu school in Paris in her teens.
Dr. Fatima Shahnaz, recipient of the “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” in 2010 has a PhD in French Literature from Sorbonne University, Paris. She has also studied theatre at the Institut Rene Simon d’Arts Dramatiques, and Western cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris.
An initiative of the librarians of the network of Alliances Françaises in India / Nepal and the French Institute in Jaipur that aims to help people discover and understand French culture. Library Fest 2022 is composed of a series of online activities.
