How Much Carbon Is Embodied in Your Interiors?

About this event

Material Bank's "Design Your Impact" Series

How Much Carbon Is Embodied in Your Interiors?

1 x IDCEC Credit Offered to All Attendees

Often when we think about carbon footprint and construction, we think about architecture, core & shell, concrete, steel, operational carbon, etc. The role of interior design and material specifications don’t always rise to the forefront. We will raise awareness to the incredible impact of reducing a building’s carbon footprint with responsible interior material selections and help guide your future actions with more thoughtful consideration of the impact of embodied carbon within our interior spaces. Become an embodied carbon change maker!

The Climate Toolkit for Interior Design is a living resource created through a consultative process with representatives across the A&D industry. As a comprehensive resource on decarbonizing interior design, it contains strategies and suggestions that would be relevant to different roles and team members, including specifiers, project managers, and project leads. We'll go through six sections within the Toolkit to give you a taste of you can use the Toolkit to address the embodied carbon emissions of your interiors projects.
