About this event

How Collaboration Enhances Architectural Photography

With Ema Peter and Studio VDGA

Delve into the dynamic collaboration between architectural photography and design with Ema Peter and Deepak Gugarii of Studio VDGA. This talk will explore how effective partnerships between architects and photographers can elevate architectural storytelling and bring intricate design concepts to a global audience.

Ema Peter, an internationally renowned photographer, will showcase her A+Award-winning work on the House of Courtyards, highlighting how her imagery captures the essence and beauty of the design — a sensory solar canvas. Deepak Gugarii, Principal at Studio VDGA, will discuss the design philosophy behind the stunning home, emphasizing the significance of aligning architectural vision with photographic representation.

By attending this talk, you'll learn:

  • How collaboration between architects and photographers enhances architectural storytelling.
  • The role of photography in communicating the soul of a project and the emotional impact of space.
  • The story of constructing a contextual masterpiece amidst the lost architectural context of modern Dubai.

One of the project photos will be featured on the cover of this year’s edition of Architizer’s esteemed annual print book, Architizer: The World’s Best Architecture.
