About this event
Welcome to Mistakes Well Made, a Live Series Event by Architizer that poses a challenge for guests: Tell us about the mistakes you made and the challenges you faced early in your career, and how lessons learned from those moments helped make you who you are today.
This series will highlight best practices pertaining to professional development and career progression through the lens of personal journeys in architecture. These stories will remind us how — if we learn and grow through them — our biggest mistakes can turn into our greatest assets!
In Episode 1, we welcome architect and entrepreneur Michael Riscica, creator of the upcoming Young Architect Summer Series. Mike will discuss his early frustrations with the architectural industry, and how those challenges led him to forge his own path as a mentor and cheerleader for thousands of emerging professionals.
During what promises to be a refreshingly honest and personal talk about the path to becoming an architect, we’ll learn about:
Michael Riscica is the founder of YoungArchitect.com and the powerful ARE Boot Camp. Since acquiring his Architecture License in 2014, he has been intensely focused on helping the NEXT Generation of Architects succeed. Mike is also a Bicycle Enthusiast, Public Speaker, Author, Motivational Coach, Professional Traveler and Beach Bum who lives in a quiet neighborhood in Orlando FL with his Architect Girlfriend.
Paul Keskeys is a registered UK architect, writer and editor based in New York City. A graduate from UCL and the University of Edinburgh, Paul gained an MArch in Architectural Design with distinction and was nominated for the RIAS Silver Medal in 2009.
