IFCC View on Reference Intervals: Different Approaches to their Establishment and Practical Recommendations Webinar

During the webinar, world-renowned experts will share their experience in reference intervals establishment in adults and children.

Professor Y. Özarda, will share with summary of reference intervals’ establishment theory, provide overview of main approaches to their establishment, including direct and indirect sampling techniques, review IFCC C-RIDL main publications on reference intervals, and share plans for the future.

Professor K. Adeli will share results and perspectives of CALIPER study, which has been successful in filling most of critical gaps by developing and publishing new reference values for a number of tests used to assess children with medical concerns. To date, CALIPER has developed reference intervals for over 200 biomarkers of health and disease, which can be used to improve diagnosis in many clinical fields, including cardiology, nephrology, critical care, and oncology.
