Physical Health Checks for SMI Patients in Primary Care - with Dr Ihtesham Sabri

The SMI webinar is designed to help all practices perform a physical health check for patients with severe mental illness.

It is a screening opportunity and will help reduce inequity in society as a whole, for such patients who face discrimination and poor health. We will be looking at the reasons for doing the health checks, why they are needed and the ultimate objectives.

All GPs & practitioners across Bromley & the South East will benefit including how to actually do the checks, what template is needed and how we can implement plans for issues identified. We will look at action plans once physical problems are identified.

Such patients often find it difficult to see their GP and vice-versa. We hope to improve mental health across the Borough and wider in the South
