Mr. Jamie Ferguson, Consultant in Limb Reconstruction Surgery and Trauma, Oxford Bone Infection Unit and Oxford Trauma Unit, Oxford University Hospitals, UK.
His practice is in bone infection, limb reconstruction, and trauma surgery. His research interests include limb reconstruction techniques, osteomyelitis, fracture-related infection, local antibiotic carriers, and fracture non-union.

PD Dr. med. Marc Hanschen, Associate Professor of Orthopaedics, and Trauma surgery and PI Trauma-Immunology at the Klinikum Rechts der Isar, Technical University in Munich. He began his clinical career at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität. Before moving to the Klinikum Rechts der Isar he undertook a PostDoc Fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Hanschen is the Head of Pelvic and Lower Limb Fractures. A special interest lies in reconstructive surgery and the management of post-traumatic bone infections (FRI). He is currently head of the Department of Experimental Trauma Surgery, where his focus is on research into the post-traumatic immune response.
Case to be presented: One-stage treatment in the management of fracture-related infection in the distal tibia and the calcaneus.
Dr. Daniel Pérez-Prieto, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Hospital del Mar / Hospital de l'Esperança, Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Pérez-Prieto is specialized in orthopedic surgery and traumatology.
His research and clinical practice cover all orthopedic infections, focused on lower limb infections: osteomyelitis, prosthetic joint infections, and arthroscopic infections.
He is a member of the European Knee Associates (EKA) board and the Under-45 ESSKA committee. He is also part of the Septic Arthritis Workgroup of the EBJIS.
