British Retail Consortium invites you to their event

Evolution of Shoppers and Payments

About this event

The global pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on consumer behaviour over the past two years, with more consumers increasingly confident in shopping online. Following the easing of government restrictions, we are starting to see a new breed of hybrid shopper emerge - consumers who are digitally savvy and comfortable browsing online from the comfort of their homes but still want to enjoy everything that experiential retail has to offer in physical stores.

Trustly recently surveyed 2,000 UK consumers on their online and in-store shopping trends.

This event will cover their findings. What factors determine whether UK consumers will buy a product or not? Good reviews, impulse buying or just needing the product? Does it differ significantly by age? And what are the biggest frustrations encountered by consumers in connection to online payments.

Key Takeaways:

  • Evolution of consumers
  • Trends that are shaping the future of e-Commerce and payments
  • What is here to stay
  • What categories of retailers perform better online vs in-store
  • How behavior changes based on the age range
  • Clear action plan for merchants looking to keep pace with these changes
