One of the major challenges in achieving Net Zero targets is measuring and managing Scope 3 emissions. This is largely due to a lack of robust environmental data and a coherent set of processes to standardise footprinting and data sharing through value chains.
In the retail sector, and for large retailers in particular, much of this data sits in complex supply chains, making it very hard to manage.
