British Retail Consortium invites you to their event

Getting Started on Scope 3 Emissions

About this event

Webinar 1: Getting started on scope 3 emissions

BRC’s work with retailers on the Climate Action Roadmap during 2021 has demonstrated just how important tackling scope 3 emissions is to achieve the retail industry’s goal of Net Zero by 2040. But a number of retailers have relayed just how hard this area is to understand, with uncertainty over the terms used and ‘where to start’.

This webinar aims to demystify approaches to scope 3 measurement and to help retailers to get started on comprehensive greenhouse gas measurement. The webinar will include an explanation of scope 3 emissions; an introduction to the core principles of carbon footprinting; an overview of emissions factors; and a reference to reporting requirements set by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Attendees will also learn about some of the more complex steps for measuring scope 3 emissions, and options for getting started. The final portion of the session will be a Q&A session for all attendees.
