Ariel Foster is the Executive Director/CEO of IELTS USA, the world’s most widely used English language proficiency test for college admission and immigration. Ariel leads IELTS USA, which is dedicated to delivery of IELTS testing in the US as well as the development of recognition policies and support of the use of IELTS by US higher education institutions. Prior to joining IELTS USA in 2014, she worked at the College Board as head of the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Higher Education for the Advanced Placement Program (AP). Ariel led higher education initiatives for AP’s redesign and new product development, such as the Computer Science Principles curriculum and AP Capstone. She holds a CELTA (Certificate for Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages) and taught English in Prague and New York City. She is based in Los Angeles.
Bartek Janiak is the Teacher Training & Assessment Senior Advisor for Pearson Global in Central and Eastern Europe, and has worked in the field of education for more than 10 years. Following graduation from the University of Lodz in the faculty of English language teaching, Bartek started his career as an ELT Representative. Due to Bartek's interest in the professional and personal development of human beings, Bartek completed additional studies at Kozminski University for Professional Coaching: methods and practice and Psychology of motivation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He has since gone on to present and run workshops at numerous educational and business events.
Shélynn Riel is co-creator of The Teacher Think-Aloud Podcast and a professional development consultant and facilitator. She has served as an English language instructor for over a decade, a program coordinator in both university and community-based programs, and an English Language Fellow with the U.S. Department of State. Her interests include holistic teacher development, learner identity, and decolonial ethics in the language classroom.
