Mr. P.S.F. Alberts is a graduate student in Medicinal Plant Sciences at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. His research interests lie in the chemical and genetic analysis of plant metabolites and their potential use in medicine. He is in the final year of his doctoral thesis, entitled "The Erythroxylaceae of southern Africa: a metabolomical, genetic and chemotaxonomical evaluation."
