The distribution of 5G services, through the direct integration of 5G enabled satellites with terrestrial networks, is a game changer... the importance of which is hard to over-estimate. This hybrid mix promises high speed internet connectivity on land, in the air and at sea, for cars, trucks, trains, vessels, aircraft and unmanned air and surface vehicles, in rural, remote and other such hard-to-reach locations.
The Satellite and the 5G Journey programme will bring together a panel of noted specialists with a diversity of expertise, to offer their perspective on the state of play. The following subject areas have been identified as being essential coverage in the context of this programme;

Richard is an executive manager with more than 20 years international experience in business development, partnership management, marketing and consultative sales in the global Telecom, Satellite and ICT industry.
Munira's background is in Technology, management, business and strategy professional with proven leadership and extensive experience in wireless telecommunications, spectrum, and Public Safety Broadband. Prior to Echostar she has held a number of high profile positions with Lockheed Martin and the First Responder Network Authority.
Simon has close to four decades experience working in telecommunications including 14 years with British Telecom and 12 years at Hughes. His core competence is in Network Design and Architecture – within a commercial framework.
An avid business developer, highly successful in designing and executing go-to-market and sales strategies in the Digital and Internet of Things (IoT) industries. In addition to his current role with Eutelsat, Lluc's experience includes spells at Cisco Systems, Vodafone, Accenture and ThingWorx.
Lluc's focus at NSR is Satellite Broadband and Ground Segment covering key growth areas such as new markets unlocked by HTS, opportunities opened by innovations in ground segment, how SatCom integrates in the telecom ecosystem, Enterprise VSAT, Consumer Broadband or Cellular Backhaul.
Alex Besen provides strategic advisory, business development, market research and training services in the mobile data industry. His references include Ericsson, MTS, Nokia, Globalstar, Fernebahce, Orange, Speedcast, Sprint, T-Mobile US and Turk Telekom.
Alyson's role is to uncover customer insight, competitor intelligence and technology innovations around mobility and digital solutions and then present innovative ideas on art of possible and future trends to business customers.
David has 30 years of experience in the humanitarian and satellite industries and currently leads GVF... the sole global trade associaion for the commercial satellite industry. Prior to this he served for thirteen years at the American Red Cross, finishing as it's General Counsel and 16 years at Intelsat as General Counsel and VP for Regulatory Affairs.
