About this event
The Internet of things (IoT) is a new kind of communications economy whereby devices, objects and things generally, exchange data without human intervention... and the use-cases are infinite. This programme will look at the new age technologies that are driving IoT network development, improving efficiencies and expanding capabilities. 5G, 6G, AI, Edge Computing, The Cloud, Virtualisation and the industrial Metaverse are enabling vast data volumes, generated by millions of sensors and actuators and fed into cloud based data centres, to emerge as meaningful information to the user. But of course, IoT will be dependent on planet wide, ubiquitous and seamless connectivity, and that will be made possible through the hyperconvergence of terrestrial and non-terrestrial communications technologies, in a hybrid TMT mix. These are the aspects that will form the basis of this programme.
