Circ-Boost presents Pilot 1 in Barcelona, which aims to demonstrate innovative circular solutions across different stages of the construction process, from soil remediation and material recovery to design for deconstruction and digital traceability of building components.
The pilot brings together complementary solutions to close material loops in construction. These include the treatment of contaminated soil to enable the production of new construction materials, the development of a modular concrete panel system incorporating recycled aggregates and designed for future deconstruction (DfD), and the use of embedded RFID technology to ensure the traceability of precast concrete elements throughout their life cycle.
The webinar will present the solutions developed and tested by the Pilot 1 team, bringing together expertise from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Control Demeter, TESIS srl, ACCIONA Construcción and Smart Engineering.

Within the Horizon Europe project Circ-Boost, she leads Work Package 2 ‘Connect’, focusing on networking, stakeholder engagement across the circular construction ecosystem, and the development of policy recommendations supporting the transition towards circular construction practices.
