Carbon Direct invites you to their event

Carbon Removal in a Beyond Value Chain Mitigation Strategy: How to Interpret New SBTi Guidance and Take Action

About this event

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) recently released its long-awaited guidance on beyond value chain mitigation. The guidance calls on the private sector to take immediate climate action above and beyond reduction efforts—including carbon removal—to contribute to global net zero.

But there is more than one approach to investing in carbon removal as part of a beyond value chain mitigation strategy, which makes it hard to know how to get started.

In this webinar, Carbon Direct’s Director of EMEA Advisory & Senior Scientist Dr. Meera Atreya will be joined by Senior Research Associate Mila Stieglitz-Courtney to discuss beyond value chain mitigation strategies that will work for your organization.

Register to learn:

  • How to invest in carbon removal in line with the latest SBTi guidance
  • Tips for determining the right approach, including the money-for-tonne versus a tonne-for-tonne strategy
  • Recommendations for communicating your strategy and impacts to customers and stakeholders

Dr. Meera Atreya, Director of EMEA Advisory & Senior Scientist, at Carbon Direct, is an SBTi Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Member and served as an SBTi Expert Advisory Group (EAG) Member on Beyond Value Chain Mitigation (BVCM).
