Ms. Patti Smith is Electricity Decarbonization Lead at Carbon Direct where she supports the Carbon Direct science team in understanding the wholesale power markets and the emissions impact of power consumption and generation. Patti Smith, a mechanical engineer by training, spent 15+ years of her career on trade floors structuring non-standard power contracts. She returned to school to complete MS in Sustainability in the Urban Environment, in response to watching energy policy decisions have negative unintended consequences on climate goals. Most recently she was Decarbonization Lead for a sustainability consulting firm where she advised companies on decarbonization strategies in order to meet set targets within the confines of GHG Protocol accounting rules.
Julia is the Carbon Accounting & Target Setting Lead for Carbon Direct. She has over a decade of experience working with clients in the tech, retail, financial, manufacturing, and energy sectors on growth and climate strategies. Prior to Carbon Direct, Julia led US Climate Advisory at Position Green and ran her own consultancy, Green Opal Advisors, where she focused on reducing corporate emissions, setting SBTs, and developing decarbonization plans. Julia holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a BSBA in Finance and International Business from Washington University in St. Louis.
Liz Pearce is the Chief Revenue Officer at Ever.green, where she helps companies meet their renewable energy procurement goals through High-Impact REC purchase agreements and get financial returns through clean energy tax credit purchases. She’s a graduate of Terra.do’s Learning for Action program and is passionate about accelerating the corporate transition to clean energy. Before Ever.green, Liz was VP of Go to Market at GoDaddy, CEO of several venture-backed startups, and held marketing roles at Sony PlayStation, Google, and Amazon. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from The George Washington University.
