About this event
The EDI (Early Development Instrument) is used to monitor children's developmental health at school entry. Children are assessed in the 5 EDI developmental domains: Physical Health & Well-Being, Social Competence, Emotional Maturity, Language & Cognitive Development and Communication Skills & General Knowledge. This data is then grouped into 3 categories: Vulnerable, At Risk or On Track. EDI examines and reports in terms of vulnerability. Finally, we will look at how we use the EDI data for system planning and knowledge mobilization.
Child Development Resource Connection Peel (CDRCP) connects the community and practitioners with the information, resources, training and services that promote quality family life.
