Gender Justice in Early Childhood: “Painting in Broader Strokes”

This webinar will focus on gender inclusivity in the early childhood classroom. It will do this by exploring understandings of gender identity and gender justice. It will also focus on how to think outside of the gender binary when working with young children in order to create a space that allows them to explore their gender and identity while in an early learning and child care setting. Participants will begin to identify their own biases in practice when dealing with gender and identity. They will begin to develop strategies for gender inclusion in the early childhood classroom. Participants will build understandings of gender justice and gender creativity in relation to educator practice.
