About this event
Your image of the child is a powerful force as it decides how we treat children. We form our relationships with children and base our interactions with them based on it. To support children’s learning and development, it is important to reflect on our image of the child so we can identify our beliefs and assumptions of young children as these beliefs and assumptions impact the interactions with have with them. This is important work to do because by adjusting the image of the child we hold, we can change the relationships we create with children and the experiences we provide for them. Participants will engage in reflective practices that unpack personal beliefs and assumptions of young children as we strive to rebuild and create environments that empower children.
Child Development Resource Connection Peel (CDRCP) connects the community and practitioners with the information, resources, training and services that promote quality family life.
