How can wind propulsion and electrification contribute to reducing the energy consumption and emissions of today’s vessels ?

This webinar will bring together insights from the European projects WHISPER and NEMOSHIP to showcase concrete, ready-to-deploy solutions for maritime decarbonisation. Through real vessel applications and project results, speakers will explore the potential energy and fuel savings offered by wind-assisted propulsion and battery-based electrification, their current level of maturity, and the vessel types and operational profiles for which they are most relevant.

The discussion will also highlight how these solutions can complement each other, at fleet level and, in some cases, onboard the same vessel, as part of a broader technology mix including alternative fuels and fuel cells.
