CertiCraft invites you to their event

The State of Craft - Episode 3, featuring Shannon Ross and Stacy Johnston

About this event

The State of Craft is a webinar series focused on the legal craft cannabis industry.

The rollout of cannabis legalization in Canada has been full of ups and downs. The craft cannabis industry in particular has been immensely affected by a myriad of challenges and missteps in the years following the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations.

In The State of Craft, Sami Majadla, CEO of CertiCraft, facilitates conversations with leaders in the legal craft cannabis industry to explore what is going well and what is going not-so-well. We'll discuss what can realistically be changed at different levels of government and industry alike to address major issues the craft cannabis sector is facing, and hopefully inspire stimulating ideas of all sorts. Every episode will end with a 15 min live Q&A with our audience.

In Episode 3, Sami will be joined by Shannon Ross and Stacy Johnston.

In 2019, Community Futures Central Kootenays started the first government funded program to support legacy growers transitioning into the new recreational market. That program is known as the Cannabis Business Transition Initiative. Shannon and Stacy are the two people hired to spearhead the project. Read on for a brief introduction to who they are.

Shannon Ross

A pillar of the Central Kootenay agriculture community since 2003, she spearheaded Red Lion Organic Farm in Salmo, BC. (2012) and directed the restoration of a 25 acre Dukabour farm.

Stacy Johnston

A corporate management veteran of 20+ years with extensive experience in the heavily regulated pharmaceutical sector, Stacy provides a bridge for many people making the transition from legacy to legal.
