CIC Lunch Talk Series is the CIC's latest initiative to share the latest development of the industry with members of the industry and the general public. Every Friday lunchtime, CIC will invite renowned guests to share their knowledge and previous experience with the audience, and discuss new knowledge and innovative ideas related to the construction industry in a leisure and interactive format. CIC Lunch Talk will be launched on 30 October and live-broadcasted every Friday at 12:30.
Mr CHAN Ka-kui, Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, and Mr Daniel LEUNG, Head of Business Markets of SmarTone, will feature in the first episode to share their insights into the impacts of 5G for the construction industry. Driven by the exponential increase in demand for mobile broadband services and the massive device connectivity for Internet-of-Things, the 5G era has arrived and it will definitely be at the centre of an ecosystem that powers society’s continued digital transformation. In this talk, Daniel will illustrate the crucial role of 5G in driving productivity, sustainability, and safety in the construction industry.
