CIC Power Talk: Construction‧Innovation‧Technology─The Hong Kong Palace Museum

About this event

The Hong Kong Palace Museum, located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, is the first overseas cooperation project of the Palace Museum in Beijing. The museum is solidifying its status as an arts and cultural hub and a platform for international cultural exchange in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond.

The museum's main block has seven stories, and the building floor area is around 44,000 square meters. The museum has 7,600 square meters of gallery space. Other museum facilities include a 400-seat lecture theatre, activity rooms, restaurant, shop, etc.

The project is interwoven with an avant-garde theme and high-quality management spirit using innovative techniques to reinterpret Chinese tradition's visual and spatial aesthetics. It implemented BIM, information management, and innovative construction in multiple ways during the construction process.
