GIS has been widely adopted in the construction lifecycle especially for built asset management. With emerging 3D GIS and BIM technologies, GIS can fuse with complex BIM models to visualize asset details in the geographical context riding on web and mobile platforms. BIM models fused in GIS can also facilitate spatial analysis to get insights into the built assets in the operating environment.
