The Development Bureau has published a Technical Circular on Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS) (ref. DevB TC (W) No. 3/2020) intending to enhance the standard and efficiency of work supervision as well as the quality and safety of works. The adoption of DWSS will certainly increase productivity, enhance regulation and quality assurance for the industry. In order to support this transformation, Construction Industry Council (CIC) has launched a webinar series on DWSS to facilitate the adoption of digital technologies for construction site supervision.
In this webinar, Mr. Charles YEUNG will introduce InfoSMART™ xTrack – an innovative Internet of Things (IoT) based solution to support continuous real-time uploading records of site progress, installation and workmanship details. In view of the DWSS requirements, the technology is empowered with a feature-rich and low-code data integration platform whereas a specific operation workflow can be easily defined, configured, executed and automated. Charles will share a case study about a contractor of a government project who adopted this solution to streamline its site work with continuous progress tracking and defect management, while, at the same time, fulfilling the DWSS operational needs of the client.
