About this event
🗣️ This session will be delivered live in Dutch.
Concrete and steel are both on the EU's Digital Product Passport (DPP) timeline. Construction products, including those made of concrete and steel, come under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which brings a DPP for construction products. Steel also appears a second time: iron and steel is a priority product group under the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), and the European Commission's indicative timeline puts adoption of its rules in the last quarter of 2026.
What will a passport for a precast concrete element or a steel beam need to hold, and who along the chain has to supply that data? That's the question this session works through.
The Toekomstbestendige Leefomgeving (future-proof living environment) working group, part of the Dutch National Growth Fund programme, has already run sessions this year on the DPP for construction products in general.
