About this event
Digital product passports (DPPs) are moving from policy discussion to implementation pressure. The EU Battery Regulation, ESPR, and a growing set of sector-specific requirements are setting timelines companies can't ignore. But amid all the focus on generating data, a harder question isn't being asked: does the transparency DPPs require actually change what happens at end of life?
In March 2026, Deborah Dull, Phil Brown and Judith Ketelslegers published an article in the World Economic Forum making the case that it doesn't always, and that this should fundamentally change how companies approach DPP investment. Their argument: transparency is only worth investing in when the data will genuinely change an operational decision. When it won't, it's compliance cost, not circular progress.
This webinar brings all three authors together to pressure-test that framework with real examples from supply chain operations, technology implementation and policy. It's an honest conversation about where DPPs are working, where they're falling short, and what practitioners can take away.
