    Dr. Jennifer McArdle Senior Director for Defense Programs and the Deputy Chief Learning Officer at CAE USA @ CAE | CNAS

    Dr. Jennifer McArdle is the Senior Director for Futures in D&S at CAE USA. She also serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow in the Center for a New American Security’s defense program and wargaming lab and as a Member of the Editorial Board at the US Joint Special Operations University. McArdle previously served as the Head of Research at Improbable U.S. Defense & National Security, where her team focused on developing more performant runtime environments and synthetic populations. A former professor, McArdle has served as an expert member of a NATO technical group that developed cyber effects for the military alliance’s campaign simulations. McArdle holds a Ph.D. from King’s College London in War Studies, is the recipient of the RADM Fred Lewis doctoral scholarship in modeling and simulation and is a certified modeling and simulation professional (CMSP). She is a term member with the CFR and was named an official “Mad Scientist” by the US Army Training and Doctrine Command.

    Diederik Stolk Modelling and Simulation expert @ NATO CIMIC Centre of Excellence

    Diederik Stolk is a seasoned wargame and simulation designer. Since 2007, Diederik develops and facilitates serious games and military exercises for various European governments, armed forces and universities on topics such as contemporary European conflicts, civil military cooperation, multidisciplinary crisis management, and Command & Control. He also holds a part time position as a modelling and simulation expert for NATO's Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) Center of Excellence in the Hague. Current and past clients include: Netherlands Defence Academy, 1GNC, UK and DEU Defence academies, JWC, St. Gallen University and various Dutch government ministries, incl. the Ministry of Defence and Foreign Affairs.

    Ariane Bitoun Research & innovation Manager @ MASA Group

    Research & Innovation Manager at MASA Group. Ariane has 18 years’ experience in the fields of computer modeling and military simulation. She received her engineering degree in Project Management and Software Engineering from ESIGELEC. Prior to joining MASA Group, she held several positions as project manager, primarily in video gaming- and Artificial Intelligence-oriented fields. During her first five years at MASA Group she was at the helm of the SCIPIO project, which under her stewardship became SWORD, the company's flagship simulation solution, a market-leading product deployed by the French army for all brigade- and division-level training operations. Her current role is manager of the research and innovation unit at MASA Group, though she still finds time to supervise multiple scientific and technical R&D projects that are powered by SWORD, both at national and European levels.
