Chiara Scaleggi holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Bologna.
She started working at the French Space Agency in 2005 as a Telecom Engineer in charge of defining and promoting innovative SatCom architectures and applications.
As of 2013 she joined the International Cospas-Sarsat Project as a System Engineer in charge of ensuring the transition from LEO/GEO SAR system to MEOSAR system (based on GNSS satellites).
Today Chiara is working as the SAR/Galileo Project Manager in CNES, ensuring the provision of the SAR Galileo Service and the preparation of system evolutions.
She is also one of the European Commission representatives at the Cosaps-Sarsat Organization.
