Copper Consultancy invites you to their event

Preparing the water industry for change: are we ready for the project pipeline?

About this event

After one of the driest summers on record, hosepipe bans announced in parts of the country and questions over wastewater discharges, the water industry is firmly in the media’s eye. Combine this with the challenges of decarbonisation, the drive for net zero and the need to rapidly upgrade water infrastructure to meet climate and population demands, and the sector is facing unprecedented strain.

To deliver the modernisation needed in the water industry, a multitude of Development Consent Order applications will be needed over the next few years. But few water applications have been through the national infrastructure planning system, and no new reservoirs have been built in over 30 years. So are customers, stakeholders and communities prepared for what is to come?

Copper invites you to join us in our virtual discussion on how ready the water sector is for the upcoming challenges. Our panel of industry experts will be coming together to discuss:

  • What are the new challenges and opportunities facing the water sector?
  • How ready is the water industry to meet these challenges?
  • How can we best communicate projects to customers and stakeholders?
