About this event
Applied tobacco research covers a diversity of field production disciplines, such as agronomy, plant physiology, entomology, plant pathology, and breeding. Specialized knowledge and protocols are required within each of these disciplines; however, there are research practices that should be common. The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the research methods which are appropriate for field research in tobacco production. At the end of the webinar, participants will have a better understanding of how applied, field-based tobacco research should occur.
This webinar will be hosted by Matthew Vann, Scientific Commission Vice-President and content will be presented by Mitchell Richmond, Assistant Professor and Tobacco Agronomist at the University of Tennessee. The moderator will be Christelle Bonnet from JT International, Switzerland.
