About this event
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is developing a new Automotive Sector Net-Zero Standard that will establish sector-specific requirements for automakers and automotive suppliers to set science-based emissions reduction targets aligned with a net-zero future. Once finalized, the standard is expected to become the primary framework for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and auto parts manufacturers, replacing the current Land Transport Guidance for these organizations.
In this webinar, DEKRA's sustainability experts will explain what the new standard means for OEMs and suppliers, including expected impacts on target setting, Scope 3 emissions management, supply-chain engagement, and decarbonization strategies. Attendees will gain practical insights into how to prepare for upcoming requirements, identify potential challenges, and leverage sustainability as a competitive advantage.
Drawing on over a century of experience supporting the automotive industry, DEKRA will share lessons learned from working with OEMs and suppliers and demonstrate how organizations can successfully navigate the evolving climate landscape through science-based targets, emissions inventories, and decarbonization roadmaps
