DEKRA invites you to their event

Navigating California’s SB 253 – What Businesses Need to Know

About this event

California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) represents a significant shift in U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting. Starting in 2026, public and private companies with annual revenues of $1 billion or more will be required to disclose and verify Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, with Scope 3 disclosures following in 2027.

Join David Jonas, DEKRA North America’s Vice President of Sustainability, and Barnaby Lynch, Head of Policy & Strategy at Watershed, for an in-depth look at what SB 253 means for your organization. This DEKRA North America webinar will cover:

  • Which companies are subject to SB 253
  • Key compliance deadlines and assurance requirements
  • Best practices for emissions data collection and third-party verification
  • How to integrate reporting into your broader sustainability strategy
  • The relationship between SB 253 and other California climate laws, such as SB 261

Whether your company is new to emissions reporting or looking to refine its approach, this session will provide the insights and tools you need to prepare for compliance and build a robust, audit-ready reporting process.
