In this 90-minute session, Designlab mentor Deb Howell will show you how to revisit an existing UX case study through an AI-era lens: identifying moments where AI could meaningfully improve the experience, deciding where it doesn’t belong, and showing the design judgment behind those decisions.
You’ll watch Deb work through three real portfolio case studies, finding one opportunity in each to rethink or strengthen for today’s product landscape. Along the way, she’ll show how to communicate why AI belongs in a particular moment, how users remain informed and in control, and what should happen when the system gets things wrong.
You’ll leave with an AI Portfolio Audit checklist you can use to review your own work, identify case studies worth revisiting, and strengthen how your portfolio demonstrates the kind of judgment designers increasingly need in the AI era.
