About this event
The Norwegian Refugee Council and Development Initiatives invite you to join a webinar to discuss field perspectives on multi-year humanitarian funding and planning.
In order to support the Grand Bargain workstream on enhanced quality of funding, we have conducted research in two countries – Lebanon and Jordan – on multi-year humanitarian funding and planning. We spoke with key donors and implementers in both contexts to explore what multi-year humanitarian funding means in practice, and the benefits and challenges that actors in these countries have encountered.
On 15 January, we’re inviting a select group of experts and study participants to join us as we share and discuss the report’s findings. Our study has emerged from the collective insight of experts in the field and captures sometimes divergent opinions on multi-year funding. This discursive session will be an opportunity to close the feedback loop and bring those views together in one forum. We hope the event will establish a shared understanding, a starting point for future priorities and initiatives to ensure that multi-year funding helps to realise a more effective and efficient humanitarian response.
