From an electrical point of view, the battery seems to be a very simple device. However, when it comes to the maintenance of batteries, their whole complex nature should be taken into account. This means the maintenance and testing practices should be adapted to specific battery technology. We invite you to dive in with us in IEEE recommended practices for battery testing (IEEE 450, IEEE 1106, and IEEE 1188). We will discuss test types, their similarities, how often tests should be done, preceding activities of the tests, and possible corrective actions. At the end of the webinar, we will briefly review DV Power devices for battery testing.
