About our panellists

Carolyn Cole is chief people officer at Lucion Group. With more than 20 years of experience across sectors including construction, testing, and technology, she has built a reputation for guiding organisations through growth, change, and the occasional corporate curveball — always with a people-first mindset.

Carolyn brings deep expertise in private equity environments, M&A activity, and acquisition-driven transformation, having partnered closely with leadership teams to scale businesses, integrate cultures, and build high-performing people functions. She is known for balancing commercial realities with genuine care for employee experience: a combination that makes her equally comfortable navigating complex transactions and shaping culture.

A passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, Carolyn has led initiatives that embed psychological safety and open dialogue into organisational culture. She is also a champion for women in HR and leadership. Her work in embedding wellbeing and cultural shift driven by effective initiatives was recently recognised at the British HR Awards, where Lucion won Employee Wellbeing Initiative of the Year.

Alongside her strategic work, Carolyn is recognised for bringing creativity and fresh thinking into the people function, whether designing engaging employee initiatives, reimagining development programmes, or finding new ways to connect people, performance, and purpose.

Mark Greenwald is wellbeing and benefit manager at Bovis Construction based in London, delivering on the company’s employee benefits and wellbeing strategies across the UK. Mark has worked in HR for over 20 years acquiring vast experience across the HR spectrum including compensation, data analytics and employee experience. Mark is passionate about creating impactful employee experiences that empower individuals to take informed decisions that allow them to thrive, which has led to the creation of award-winning strategies across the wellbeing spectrum while working alongside several organisations to share best practice and continually inspire excellence.

Mark has spoken at numerous conferences on the topics of employee benefits and wellbeing sharing how he has delivered award-winning initiatives, most recently being guest speaker at, Supply Chain Sustainability School Conference 2023, Employee Benefits Live 2024, and The London Build Expo 2024 and 2025.

Catherine Morrell is inclusion and wellbeing manager at Ricoh UK. Catherine has over twenty years’ experience driving strategic people initiatives across diverse sectors, in various HR roles.

A CIPD-qualified leader, Catherine leads transformative projects in diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing, aligning people strategy with business goals for c.1700 employees at Ricoh UK.

Catherine is a passionate advocate for an inclusive culture and employee engagement, founding Ricoh’s wellbeing and inclusive culture strategies, the employee resource groups including the wellbeing champions network, and advocating for employee voice throughout the business.

Dr Imren Sterno is head of mental health at Axa Health. Imren joined Axa in June 2022. She is a consultant clinical psychologist, having spent over 20 years in the NHS working with individuals with complex mental illness. Imren has 2 PhDs, focusing on risk management and suicidal ideation, and childhood obesity. Before joining Axa, she worked in specialist secondary care facilities for those with complex mental health diagnoses and is trained in multiple therapy models. She has worked at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London, and trained at the University of East Anglia, and the Barts and the London School of Medicine.

Her role at Axa Health is multi-layered and involves leadership, service development, clinical policy and governance of multiple mental health products and services. Imren has also conducted her own research and created training programs for organisations regarding wellbeing, mental health, and psychological safety. She works directly with individuals as well as large corporate organisations and has used her clinical and operational experience and expertise from the field of mental health to support those who struggle in the workplace. Imren’s passion lies in offering those who are struggling with their mental health the best quality service and support to maximise successful recovery.
