Ravi Bhatiani is the Executive Director of FETSA, The Federation of European Tank Storage Associations. He leads the engagement of the tank storage industry towards the EU bodies in Brussels. Ravi joined FETSA in June 2019 and has already made big strides in developing FETSA into an influential voice in EU Policy development through a comprehensive reform of the organisation including the development and implementation of a new strategy, informative publications, communication tools as well as an innovative supplier partnership.
Peter is the Executive Director of the Tank Storage Association, representing the interests of over 50 companies who operate more than 300 terminals in the UK or provide equipment and services to the sector. Peter is responsible for all aspects of advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the sector, and is also tasked with promoting process safety leadership, helping members achieve excellence in this area and work toward becoming high reliability organisations. Peter works in close collaboration with the UK Government and Regulators and is a leading member of cross-industry committees, Process Safety groups and the Federation of European Tank Storage Associations.
After working several years in the waste department, Johan Deleu switched to the sector of finished oil product in the Dutch family business Van der Sluijs in the year 2000. Working in the commercial part of the company, responsible for Belgium, his contacts with government representatives and working groups grew quickly as all kinds of legal obligation came on the company’s path. Evoluting into a new company called North Sea Group, followed by Argos Oil, the company is now called VARO Energy and is active in several European and non-European countries. Today, Johan is still responsible for Government Relations and Public Affairs for the Belgian and Luxemburg branch. In this role, he is member of several working- and advising groups and also administrator in a.o. the Belgian federation Brafco, the Luxemburg federation GEML and President of the European sector federation UPEI, the voice of independent fuels suppliers.
