eConsult Product update - August 2021

About this event

We've been listening to your feedback and what challenges you're currently facing.

We know that there's a lot of demand coming into practice that you'd like to be better able to control, so we're introducing some demand management features that give you the ability to adjust the availability of the consultation element of eConsult.

We're also working on making it easier and quicker to respond to patients' eConsults by enhancing the post-consultation communication channels available to you and reducing the number of steps you need to take to contact your patients and close their requests.

In this session, we'll run through:

  • Demand management features:
  • In hours only - 08:00 to 18:30, Monday to Friday
  • Turn off for the day (stop patients from starting new consultations until your next opening hour)
  • Set custom hours for each day for your practice
  • Improved toolbar functionalities:
  • Click to call - call your patients over the internet, no need to use a landline
  • Send patients an SMS in response to an eConsult and two-way SMS
  • Reading patient mobile numbers from the record
  • Writing the patient response (email or SMS) into the patient record
