About this event
UEC departments across the country face current, and potentially long-term, challenges with patient flow. Rising demand, full hospitals and staffing pressures lead to blockages in flow through the department, increasing waiting times and risks to patient safety.
The NHS Ten Year Plan outlines a strategy to redesign and reduce pressure on emergency hospital services including the early redirection of appropriate patients and offering of same day Emergency Care to increase the proportion of acute admissions discharged on the day of attendance.
Technology will play a key role in supporting front-line staff and patients, through identifying sick patients earlier, assisting better, safer and faster decision-making processes and freeing up scarce clinical resources.
One example is digital triage, which has already been implemented in a number of Trusts including Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Join our webinar hosted by Mike Farrar (Ex NHS Confed chief), to see how eTriage has helped a high-performing and busy Emergency Department by improving patient flow, patient safety and the use of internal clinical resources.
This webinar follows the release of the Independent Moorhouse Consulting impact report, which looked at the benefit of digital triage after 3 months of implementation. The Homerton ED nursing and clinical team now discuss the implementation after 12 months.
This webinar, will be a roundtable discussion by digital and innovation experts talking about:
